SHIFT Device
The S.H.I.F.T., (Superstring Harness Inter-Fabric Transport) device is a tool which directly latches on to the fabric of reality like a zipper to a track and hauls the user through the tapestry of creation to their intended destination, bypassing concepts of “Space”, “time” and “dimension”.
The device is a purely mental construct visualized into reality by an Establishment “Constructor” and then extruded into the sub-quark realm, where it can be woven into everyday objects like wristwatches, shoes, or even a pencil (see “reality interweave technology” below), controlled by the mind of its operator.
It is unwise to weave a shift into a living being as biological quantum processes interfere with its operation, usually killing its host or smearing them across reality.
SHIFTs are powered by the undulations of particle motion inherent in reality itself and would cease to function in total void spaces bereft of any matter or energy. that being said, a clever operator can use mental pressure to undulate the shift itself to “jumpstart” it, but this would destroy it in the process, allowing for one last trip.
