Earth

A mostly harmless planet, third out from its sun located in Sol System MTRS-1976 as mapped by The Establishment. Originally viewed as nothing more than a rural boondocks, it has started to gain notoriety as a kind of universal "strange attractor" of events bearing cosmic and historical significance. Whether this is because of the establishment of the EDIFICE HOTEL is unknown (though some speculate the HOTEL arose there because of this magnetism.)

All that is known is that as tiem progresses, Earth becomes more and more vital to the stability and integrity of The Everpresent Moment, with some projections putting it as rivalling even Establishment Centre for the role of reality's lynchpin in the far, far future. Not everyone is pleased by this possibility, however...

History

Well over fifty thousand years ago, Earth was a colony world of the Senosian Empire as it made its way across the Milky Way Galaxy, fleeing the Adherents of the Dark Shard. Settled and then quickly abandoned by the Imperial Seat, , the Senosians left behind gentically engineered the primitive hominds they founds there, rasing them up to something more akin to the Senosian norm. The two groups eventually intermingled, and gave rise to Homo Sapiens Sapiens.

Little obvious remains of this secret history, however, as a massive world war between the Atlantean, Lemurian and Murian empires on Earth resulted in widespread devatation of all settlements, then near genocide of the species and Caching of all their advanced technology out of the sight or reach of "modern" archaological tools.

Only the aboriginals in Australia and a few lucky survivors around the globe were left to rebuild human civilization anew, with any memories of their prior heights now just myths and legends.

Earth is now considered a forgotten, backwater Colony World classed as rural, primitive and uncontacted by the wider Space Empire, who would view it as we do the North Sentinelese.
